Many people work together to prepare for Sunday and other occasions of worship at Holy Trinity. The worship ministries described here provide invaluable support for the many aspects of worship.
Members can join the Chancel Choir that sings at the 10:30 Holy Eucharist services on Sundays and at various special services throughout the year. Children in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade can join the Children's Choir, which sings at the first-Sunday Family Holy Eucharist throughout the year. Learn more about our Choirs and Instrumentalists.
Members joyfully prepare the altar for all services at both Holy Trinity and St. Paul’s, including cleaning the vessels and linens. This behind the scenes ministry offers opportunities for quiet and prayerful to our worshiping community. New members work with experienced members to learn what to do and how to do it.
Acolytes are youth in grades 5-12 who participate in worship services by assisting in the processions as crucifers or torch bearers and at the altar during services. Training is provided regularly.
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priests in administering Communion. They also serve occasionally for weddings, funerals and other services. Eucharistic Ministers are licensed by the Bishop following participation in training sessions.
Lectors and Intercessors offer their voices to read scripture and lead the prayers of the people. We encourage parishioners of all ages to serve as Lectors and Intercessors.
Ushers welcome the congregation, hand out bulletins, record the attendance, take up the collection, and bring the bread and wine to the alter during the offertory. They assist people in finding seats if needed and guide people to the altar during communion. Ushers serve in teams of two. They are generally called upon to serve once every four or five weeks and occasionally for special services.
Livestream Technicians initiate and manage livestreaming of the 10:30 service. They manipulate standard Windows 10 software, and a three-camera hardware controller to perform the video web-streaming of the service to Facebook and YouTube. Anyone who is comfortable using a computer for gaming or steaming has the skills adequate to serve in this ministry.
