Funds
St. Paul’s
St. Paul’s in Pendleton is an historical church in the upstate from which Holy Trinity had its origins. It is no longer an active parish, but Holy Trinity maintains its buildings and churchyard. There are two funds that support St. Paul’s. The St. Paul’s fund is for maintenance and other expenses including cleaning and altar guild. The other is the St. Paul’s renovation fund. In the recent past significant work was done on the interior and roof, and major work on the exterior is about to begin.
Episcopal Church Women
For over 80 years the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) have hosted an annual bazaar featuring handmade goods from members, unique finds from the Thrift Shop and creations by local artisans. All proceeds support local charities. ECW also sponsors several other community programs. You can support their mission through direct contributions or advanced purchases of Bazaar items. A long-time favorite are hand-knitted Christmas stockings, lovingly made by the group for over 70 years.
Episcopal Day School
The Episcopal Day School has been an active part of Holy Trinity and the broader community for over 65 years, currently with 2, 3 and 4-year-old classes. EDS balances tuition and salaries for its teachers such that both are competitive. In so doing, the School does not net income. Contributions can be made directly to the operation and special needs of EDS or to scholarships to assist those families who have limited income, including graduate students at Clemson University.
Memorials
Gifts given in memory of deceased loved ones are often used for special purposes, determined by the clergy and leadership of the parish, often in consultation with the family of the one being honored. Gifts might be directed to a specific fund, such as Music, the St. Paul’s Fund, or the Good Shepherd Fund.
Good Shepherd Fund
Occasionally, a parishioner will experience a financial need that exceeds their resources. The Good Shepherd Fund is intended for short term financial assistance with basic living costs such as housing, medical bills, or car repairs. The Good Shepherd Fund is administered confidentially by the Rector, with anonymous consultation with the HT Cares Chairperson or their representative from the HT Cares Team.
Flowers
Our altar is adorned during worship each Sunday (except for during the Seasons of Advent and Lent). Parishioners and others are encouraged to donate the cost of those flowers in honor of an occasion or person, or as a memorial to a dearly departed loved one. On the Principal Feasts of Christmas and Easter, special flowers are ordered by our Altar Guild for those festive occasions. Again, donations can be given in honor or memory of a loved one to help cover that additional cost.
